The administration department plays a crucial role in the efficient functioning of an organization. Its responsibilities cover a wide range of tasks essential for managing day-to-day operations and providing support to other departments. These include office management, human resource, procurement, and supplies, budgeting and finance, communication and correspondence, event planning and coordination, policy and implementation, employee relations, training and development, regulatory compliance, health and safety etc.
Benison Mwachande is an
Executive Officer at IPOR and holds Diploma in Financial Management from the
Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM). Prior to joining IPOR in
2016, Benison worked with the University of Malawi’s Centre for Social Research,
National Statistical Office and Unilever Key Distributer as Office assistant,
Data entry Clerk and Assistant Financing Officer respectively responsible for
day to day office running regarding mail delivery, directing research partners
to different offices and field sites, Data entry, Data presentation,
projections, making sure that every office has proper resources. Benison has
interpersonal skills, management skills, financial management skills, front
office operations, logistics and public relations. Benison has been involved in
many field research activities from Centre for Social Research, Invest in
Knowledge “IKI” and Institute of Public Opinion and Research. His employment at
IPOR has been a platform for him to fully utilize his skills regarding, record
management in keeping assets,
expendables and inventory. Doing office Logistics, assisting in Accounting
process, supporting the recruitment process, monitoring the punctuality and
attendance of staff, and handling of employee grievances and disciplinary
processes. Benison has Interpersonal skills which drives every staff to feel
comfortable when executing their responsibilities.
Annie is a receptionist and Adjunct Librarian at IPOR. She holds a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE). Before joining IPOR, Annie worked as a receptionist at Korean Gardens and as secretary at JR Private Schools.
Finly Dulani is a Driver at IPOR. He holds the Malawi School Certificate of Education - (MSCE - 2014) and Grade 1 Trade Test in General fitting from Ecom Vocational Training Institute (2018). As a Driver he has a Defensive Driving Certificate and a Driving License code B.
