Elita Thokozani Chayala is a Social Development
Specialist with 18 years' experience. Elita has a master's degree in
Women's Law from University of Zimbabwe and a bachelor's degree in arts
Humanities from Chancellor College, University of Malawi. Her
areas of focus are Gender &Social Inclusion and Gender mainstreaming. In
addition, Elita has vast experience in Institutional development which includes
development of policies, guidelines and strategic plans. Elita brings to the
board the expertise in social development and institutional development, both
areas are very important for IPOR's core business.
Currently Elita serves in 2 boards: Planetarium Institute
as a Chairperson and Institute of Public Opinion and Research (IPOR).
Elita has worked in a number of institutions in Malawi
especially civil society both national and International institutions mostly at
management level and these include: World Bank, Millennium Challenge
Account, Action Aid International Malawi, Centre for Human Rights and
Rehabilitation, Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace and Ecumenical
Counselling Centre.
