SSRLP project takes off

Data collection by our enumerators, for the baseline survey for the Social Support for Resilient Livelihoods Project (SSRLP), is progressing well in Nkhatabay and Dedza districts.


The study is a collaborative project between Center for Evaluation and Development (C4ED) and Institute of Public Opinion and Research (IPOR), on behalf of the World Bank.


The survey will interview 3, 300 beneficiaries from Savings and Loan Groups (SLGs); cash transfer program and climate smart enhanced public works programs. 


Prior to the resumption of field work, enumerators had a five-day training which included getting familiarised with the questionnaire for the SSRLP.


Additionally, enumerators traveled to Traditional Authority Masumbankhunda in Lilongwe district, to conduct a pilot, with the aim to test the tool as well as to identify problems before implementing the survey. 


Data collection is expected to last for 19 days.
